Nick Evans is a UK Midlands based guitarist, singer and songwriter who’s solo repertoire is ideal for
hotel or pub lounges, piano bars, cocktail bars, folk clubs and public or private concerts.
Although his setlist contains some up-tempo songs, he is a balladeer at heart, with some self-
penned material and the more melodic work of several of the best contemporary folk and popular
singer-songwriters forming the basis of his act.
An accomplished, versatile and intuitive acoustic and electric guitarist, he also plays mandolin, bass
guitar and cajon, and is available as a dep. musician on any of these instruments as a short term,
short notice stand-in or on a more regular basis. He is able to “busk” in a band immediately without
rehearsal if required, and backing vocals are also an option.
He owns 2 modern lightweight PAT tested PA systems, 500W & 300W RMS respectively, which are
available to hire with microphones and leads for functions including discos. He will work as sound
engineer, and MC or DJ if required. He carries full public liability insurance for this equipment.
In addition to his solo and dep. work, he is a member of the Irish folk band “Dempsey’s Lot” where
he accompanies all the Irish song favourites and dance tunes.
